for the maskless, fearless woman
Primal Singing in her car
Rhythm pumping through the chassis
Melody so stark and sassy
letting loose with all her rage
about our lives lived in a cage
made of fabric (not of bars)
hiding faces filled with scars
meant for shining like the Stars
trapped in 'mine', bereft of 'ours'
trying hard to read the cries
of disillusion in our eyes
while our frail hearts contain the tears
of our frustrations and our fears
waiting for the Light to show
that is is truly safe to go
and let our deeper Spirits grow
and meet our ebbs with greater Flow
i'm truly thankful for her passion
that is never out of fashion
that is there to remind us
in the messes that we make
and the shame that's right behind us
so impossible to shake
and despair that seeks to bind us
straining us to bend and break
it's not fair to deny us
even when we're on the fake
that through these endless days of woe
with crucifixions high and low
and deep afflictions and disgrace
our fragile Sanity needs space
to weep and wail and rant and rave
against the darkness and the grave
'cause when we sing and scream and shout
our strong Humanity comes out
and when fear tries to overwhelm us
Love arises and compels
to remind the principalities
of their finite liminalities
and when they shame us in futility
to deny our core Divinity
we're free to live our choices
with open hearts and souls and voices
'There's no need to push and shove
for we are One and we are Love
ablaze in Light to shine and glow,
and you, you, you, you oughta know!'
Thank You!
