for the Sun

and smiles

hidden behind clouds

and masks

that still warm

our hearts and homes

for the Light

and Love

hindered by distance

and disease

that still connect

our Bodies and Souls

for the generosity

and Grace

empowered by adversity

and empathy

that still restore

our Humanity and Hope

for the honesty

and hilarity

enabled by insanity

and clarity

that still resurrect

our Psyches and Spirits

for the bravery

and authenticity

revealed by pressure

and urgency

that still protect

our Dignity in vulnerability

for the language

to ascribe Gratitude

in a latitude

we cannot describe...
