free Flowers

running on empty
this cloudy day
six feet away
from my fears
as i stumble upon
a most random container
of flowers for free
offered as gifts
to share cheers
with our neighbors
my fists
were then filled
with two brilliant bouquets
while i ran
up the hill
with my eyes
filled with tears
and my nostrils
with fragrance
of rapturous Joy
and my vision
with Light
as the Sun reappeared
and two fistfuls
of Sunshine
brightened the sights
and the Spirits
of two families
staying home
saving Lives
households on hold
in these frightening
and Flowering days
running on Love.
