Armistice

for all who offer

their unique Gifts

and dutiful Presence

and beautiful Lives

in conscientious Service

with compassionate Courage

willing to engage

in violent conflict

as a means

for it to cease

and all they suffer

fighting for Peace

bearing arms

(and losing them)

in the sacrificial Hope

of laying them
