though our hairs

are increasingly greyed

(and mine are 

decreasingly gradient)

and our brains

are increasingly frayed

(mostly from a society

wallowing in harebrained unrealities 

and careless atrocities

arising from heartless greed)

your heart that cares

and Spirit that shares

grow increasingly Radiant

with each passing Day

and assure me

with Loving Presence

that though the way

is often perilous

we have no need

to be afraid

and though we

are growing older

and have reasons

in these seasons 

to grow colder

towards Life

and each other

we're growing

to discover

that a Life

lived in Love

that is true

will uncover

all that is 

not Love

and bring it

into the Light

that is bolder

not only

to reveal

but ultimately

to Heal

to provide

a shoulder

to lean on

(especially

in the times

we aren't

too keen on)

and reside

in a Space

where we realize

the Sacred Surprise

that all we fear

that appears

to be old

and stark

in its Heart

contains the Spark

that is ever New

that ignites the Flame

that fires the Sun

and gives us

Courage and Trust

Mercy and Grace

to run the Race

another passing Day

with each other

so let's sit back

and take in 

the view

and celebrate

the fact

that 32

looks nice

on you

(and me, too).
