finding Life (Xmas 2021)

on the days where the Earth
is farthest from the Sun
through the daze where our worth
and our Wonder is undone
and the haze of new birth
unveils the Love
that makes us One

where the ways aren't so clear
and the streets have no name
and the strays tread in fear
and the wounded writhe in shame
and the gaze of strangers near
reminds us how
we're all the same

in the faces of the weary
forced to flee so far away
from those they Love and hold so dearly
with little light to show the way
yet shine with Radiance so clearly
the brighter Light
of a new Day

in the cries of the exhausted
who are longing for relief
who are constantly accosted
by never-ending waves of grief
and lean into each day undaunted
with quiet courage
beyond belief

in the rancor of dissension
tearing us so far apart
drawing all of our attention
from what we've embodied from the start
the spark of multiple Dimensions
the vibrant Essence
of our Heart

through these strange times
where it's risky to breathe
where masks can muffle the Rhymes
that help us to believe
yet provide new paradigms
to share Love
and to receive

in those resistant
to reveal their deeper fears
and those persistent
in releasing all their tears
in all who see sparks
of our inner shining Light
and help our dear Hearts
be not quite so tight
in the ones facing
impossible circumstances
who keep on embracing
and taking the chances
in the perseverant glow
of the Servants of all
who continue to show
and respond to the call
in the perceptive banter
of a houseless neighbor
in the prophetic candor
of a hopeless 'failure'
in the perplexing surprise
of a transformer traitor
in the preternatural guise
of an unlikely Saviour
in the radiant eyes
of a lonely refugee
in the precocious sighs
of the wild and free...

as Your friend Joan
has invited us to see...
Christmas is about
finding Life
where we did not
expect it to Be.

Thank You...

Let It Be.
