it's been said

that the left wing

and the right

are a part

of the same bird

and both wings

are needed

to fly...

may this battered

bald old Bird

acknowledge its wounds

(inflicted on self

and others)

rediscover the beauty

it its heart

and the power

in its wings

as they beat

together as One

and may the Winds

of Change

enable it to rise

and soar

to unimaginable heights

spanning inconceivable breadths

to welcome and embrace

shelter and empower

the persecuted seeking refuge

the wounded needing healing

the outcast seeking acceptance

the fearful needing Love...

may this Being

be the Thing

with feathers

that weathers the storms

of fear-filled despair

a wounded Healer

with Hope

in Its wings

that sings the songs

of redemption and release

Compassion and Peace

with Dignity

Equality and Justice

for ALL...
