let US Be (Epiphany)

the Journey

to the Light

was long

and winding

ever seeking

never finding

a through way

in the midnight

blue way

only Starlight

to ignite

the spark

in the dark

fanned into Fire

by desert Wind

and awakened Desire

beneath the twinklings

and meteor showers

to halls of power

of heralds

and Herods

set to devour

any inklings

of Inspiration

any Little Ones

of Love

any Princes

of Peace

sent to scour

out the time

and place

of the emergence

of Grace

in the luminous Face

of the Child

of the hour

the wandering continued

empowering the Wondering

'til Wonder was caught

in a Wondrous sight

a tiny Presence

that made

all their presents

look small

a wordless Word

of Incarnation

as Revelation

for us all

a living Promise

of Possibility

and Hope

that all of us

(even the Herods

and the heralds)

could be opened

like a present

by the Presence

Enlightened

by the Light

of the Little One

to see who

we truly are

(the Light

of the world)

and see a new

Way Home

together as One

on the pathway

of Peace

and a new

Way to live

in the Love

that we are...

Let it Be...
