tears for ears

when life sends us

blows that throw us

on our backs

and tears flow

in pre-dawn glow

from ducts in eyes

and constructs and lies

and the burden

of unshareable shame

and unbearable fears

that unbelievably roll

down the swollen cheeks

of our impenetrable faces

into imperceivably open ears

like a healing balm

from highest Heaven

(or 7-Eleven)

that soothes the pain

and clears the detritus

of despairable disgraces

that have accumulated

over the years

so that we can 

humbly reclaim

our Human ability

(in mumbly fragility)

to see and hear

and Breathe

and Be

our Selves

once again...
