Out of the depths of our despair i cry to you, O Eternal One
Out of these depths, please hear my Voice, O Living One
Open your ears and listen to me, O Present One
Listen to my cries for mercy, O Loving One

If you kept a list of all our woundings and wastings and wanderings, O Wise One.
who could endure the Divine review?
But you are Grace and Mercy and Love, O Forgiving One,
and this transcends my limited notions of Everything.

i wait patiently for you, O Patient One, my soul waits endlessly...
and i hope in your words, O Living Word
My soul waits longingly for you, O Mysterious One,
waiting and watching 'til dawn
waiting and watching for the Dawn

And so, we Children of the Creative One wait...
we wait...and we watch...through this darkest night...
searching for Stars
starving for Spirit
gasping for Grace
longing for Love
desiring the Dawn
crying out for Comfort
hunkering down for Healing
holding on to Hope...
